Kiran S. Sethi

President, Jupiter International Corporation

 

Kiran Sethi was born and raised in Kobe. After graduating from an international schools Kobe, he received the Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, USA and continued on to get his MBA in international marketing from the University of Pittsburgh. He currently is the president of Jupiter International Corporation, which his father founded in 1959 in Kobe. Jupiter International Corporation is an international trading company with affiliates in Los Angeles and Singapore, primarily distributing famous branded consumer products, principally from the US and Europe, distributing them into Japan, Korea, and China. Also, Jupiter has traditionally operated as an exporter of Japanese automotive parts and machinery overseas but recently, rapidly expanding its real estate business in the Kansai region.

He became the second non-Japanese and first American to serve as the President of Kobe Junior Chamber, Inc in 2003. He also serves as the Governor of the Indian Commerce and Industry Association Japan in Tokyo and the Special Advisor (past President) of the Japan America Society of Kobe.  Recently, he served as the Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) and Head of its Kansai chapter and now serves as a special advisor to the ACCJ Kansai Chapter. Taking advantage of his knowledge, contacts and vast experience in dealing with international business in Japan, he guides and supports Japanese corporations interested in pursuing potential business opportunities in various parts of Asia and North America.

Mr. Kiran Sethi is also an author of a Japanese business book published by renowned PHP Publishing titled, “The Truth about India, an Amazing Superpower”. He writes about the numerous developments of India in a manner that is simple for most Japanese business people to understand.
